Name of the Game: Survive (PG)

After the rain, the dappled sun through the thin tree top felt nice on the horses backs. Stand thought this was a good place to graze for the while.

Thunder came out into teh sun and rolled. Then he grazed.

Stand slowly relaxed and started to graze a little.

Phantom dozed in the sun. His herd grazed hungrily.

Rain stood next to one of the mares who she had played with when she was a foal. They were close freinds, even now. She looked at her mate, and could tell he was on edge.

Thunder grazed peacefully thinking about when he was a foal and no one tried to hurt him.

Stand let himself ease off. Though he could feel his unease still.

Phantom laid down in the grass and rolled. He laid there for a while dozing.

Stand trotted out from the half shade of the trees. He felt a sudden sting in his small nick with the hot sun burning on it.

Mrale trotted out into the sun with a small wicker to a foal that ran into her,then she shook her coat free of the rain droplets. She whinnied to Phantom to let him know she had just got left behind,but was here now.

Meca was running like he had never run before,the helicopter was right above him,and a net was throw down,trying to catch this proud and beautiful stallion. The stallion was caught in it,and tumbled to the ground,heaving as he rolled. He let out a panicked neigh as he hit the ground,then he felt a sharp pain in his rump,and everything went black.

Meca woke up in a metal bar area. It had two long bars running down his sides,a door in front of him,a door behind him,and he was tied up tightly. The humans had some long spear shapes,and they were bringing it close to his long mane,and then cutting it off. Meca tried to get loose,but he couldnt pull himself free of the prison as his mane was cut to a short style,his hooves were picked clean and shod,and he was brushed. Meca waited till they were backing him out,and tried to leave,but the two legs were ready,and stopped him.

Stand snorted, and shoke his mane. The black stallion nuzzled his mate trying to calm himself.

Thunder wandered, he knew there was a herd of batcholer stallions somewhere but he couldn't figure out where.

Stand snorted, and turned and trotted back into the half shade of the trees.

Phantom lead his herd up the mountain a little ways for the night. It would be safer up there.

Stand realized he liked these trees very much. They were very few, but they had nice shelther from rain and the half walkers. It would be a nice place to remember for the winter.

Meca snorted as he was lead out by a few men into an arena. He was to be trained as a army horse. Meca shook his head as he was shoved into a small wooden area,and a cold,hard metal piece shoved between his teeth,an odd contraption over his ears,and on his face,then a heavy leather piece hung on his back,and tightened around his midsection so he could hardly breathe. The first two leg cautiously got on his back,and they opened a panel on the side. Meca hit the ground running,literally,he leapt over the fence before it was fully open. Soon,the rider was on the ground,then running for his life as the angry stallion chased him out of the corral.

Stand neighed as a wind caught his hair. He shook his mane, eager to run.

Soon,there was only one left. The stallion was breathing hard,and not doing well when the man announced it was his turn. He leapt onto the stallion's strong back,and away they went. Meca was bucking like crazy,leaping,throwing himself into the fences,the ground,whatever he could do to try to get this vile creature off his back. But alas,he couldnt. He stood still,and trembled,weakened by his performance. The man pushed him forward,forcing him to walk. Some of his old herd mates looked at him sadly out of the corral,they had hoped he would win. That he would be the strongest. Those looks fueled him on,he leapt forward with a new strength,and a new idea. He bashed the mans legs on the fence,then broke the girth strap by rearing up over the fence,and hitting the buckle. Then the man was over his head,hanging onto the bridle. Meca reared up,and that was that. The man grabbed a soldiers gun,and held it to the stallion's head,but Meca was a proud horse,and wouldnt back down. They stared at each other,and thats when the horse calvery came in. The horses from the corrals burst loose,leaping onto the men,over them,and Meca was the leader.

Stand watched as two young colts raced by. He wondered if either would take his place as leader, or just become a wandering bachlor.

Phantom moved his herd around the corner of the mountain to fresh grass.

Stand watched as his herd walked a bit away from the trees to graze.

Thunder saw a small herd on teh horizon and realized that it must be the other stallions without herds.

Stand shook his mane as he lifted his head from grazing.

Rimmon tossed her purple head,as she leapt through the open gate behind Meca. The horses streamed out,some choosing to follow Meca,others going their own way.

Silver and Snow followed the stallion,easily keeping up with the fast pace,their silvery white coats gleaming.

The bay mare Rain and the palomino stallion Banner hurried along.

The two foals Sleet and Freedom followed suit,the colt Sleets brown bay coat sparkling in the sun,and the mare Freedom's paint coat shining brightly.

Soon,Meca arrived back at his land,his new found herd stopping behind him as he relaxed into the familiar terrain.

Stand saw his herd was tense, and whinnied. They looked up as he started to run, and quickly followed. He let them run for a while before he lead them back to the grove to graze again.
