The Last Stand (PG-13)

"That wasn't subject we could care if you heard not."She smiled playfully.

Nileve grinned, and replied,"Oh, but you wouldn't want me talking about your crushes?"

Rimmon's eyes flared."Ill kill you Nileve!You wouldn't dare!"

Nileve laughed,"Of course, of course. But you needn't worry about that. Your secert's safe with me. And don't worry about him falling in love with Ikica. He may give her looks sometimes, but that's only because she's the last link to Juno he has. Now if she came back.... And you don't need to worry either Bambi, Ikica prefers to be single. Even if Meca fell for her, she wouldn't fall back."

Meca heard the last bit,"Why would I fall for Ikica?"

Rimmon started laughing uncontrollably.

Bambi's blush made her look like a strawberry. She hoped that he hadn't heard the whole conversation.
"Shut up, Rimmon! Stop laughing!" she screeched, flailing her arms in the air.

Nileve shrugged,"I don't know, why would?" She let Azane run, and the mare raced ahead. Ikica, who had dozed off (Nileve had woken her up), looked around, and asked,"What happened?" Nileve shrugged.

Rimmon had to lean forward on Masi's neck to keep from falling off the stallion.

Meca looked startled at the girl who seemed to be insane.Which was partly true right then.

Bambi blushed and shied away from Meca's stare. Fantastic. He thought she was crazy.
"I hate my life." she softly groaned, slapping her forehead.

"I don't think your crazy,I think the one who just fell off her horse is crazy."Then he started laughing as Rimmon slid off Masi,and fell into a puddle of mud."How about you ride with me,Masierni won't like a muddy rider,and Im sure you don't want to be muddy either.'Specially in that dress."He grinned.

Rimmon stopped laughing when she fell into the mud,then started once more.

Bambi looked away bashfully, one hand clutching her forearm.
"Well...um...sure..." she stuttered, mentally kicking herself. Great impression.
She jumped from Rimmon's horse, keeping her head down as she slid in behind Meca. She blushed brightly, setting her hands on his shoulders.

His gray mare walked on calmly.Just as she had been a moment before.She stayed at the pace,and in the direction Meca asked her to go.

Rimmon cleaned as much mud off as possible,then got back on Masi,who shivered,and tried to get the mud off of his shiny white back.

Bambi looked up when she thought her blush was gone. She whistled, trying to find something to say.
"So...Meca....nice weather we're having, huh?" she asked. Only when her question was out, did she realize how stupid it was.

Meca grinned at looked back at her over his shoulder,"You're trying to start a conversation with something that has been a conversation starter since year one?"He chuckled,a twinkle in his eye.

Bambi giggled nervously.
"Uhhhhh....yes?" she replied, scratching the back of her neck.
"Well, how do you start a conversation?" she questioned in mock accusing, smirking.

"Usually by saying Hello."Meca grinned,teasing her.

"Ohh...hi." Bambi said bashfully, twidling her thumbs.

"You're so cute when you do that.Ah....Did I really just say that aloud...My bad."He chuckled,now he twiddled his thumbs.

Bambi seemed to go love struck. she giggled, blushing.
"Hehe...thanks." She said, wondering if she had just imagined that.

"Hehe.....You're....Welcome?"He said wondering if that was indeed the right thing to say.

Bambi nodded, her shoulders caught into an innocent, shy shrug.
"..So...is now the right time to ask how the weathers going?" she asked, wanting to continue the conversation. Oh, she was definitely giving herself a mental round-house.

Meca laughed,it was deep,and rejuvenating.Like a under-ground hot spring,it was also warm and inviting."There is never a 'good' time to ask about the weather."

Bambi blushed and nervously laughed. Her cheeks resembled ripe cherries, her eyes resembling a bashful shade of sapphire.
"Ah. So...then what do I say, Mr. Smarticle Pants...man...boy?" she asked, trailing off.

"How about I let you answer that one,Ms. Smarty Pants.....Girl....Women."He grinned at her,teasing her playfully.His blue eyes sparkled joyfully.

Bambi huffed stubbornly, crossing her arms. Soon, she was in deep thought, trying to think of a question.
"Hmmmm...how about...how did you meet everyone here?" Bambi asked innocently.
