The Elements (PG-13)

"Well, yeah," Naida agreed, finally glad to get them off of the subject. She scratched the top of her head, looking around, "So, um, which way do we go now?"

Cayden looked around, gaze settled south, with thick forestland, "How about south?"

Drew didn't like the woodlands. The wind was blocked through the woods there. He liked the open lands better, but he knew that the trees would provide more cover, and that's just what they needed. He said, "Looks alright." Grey clutched Drew's neck, and he grunted again. He lowered his wings, and headed south.

Arbor looked around,realizing Zanna was missing. He shrugged,probably went a way aways. She'd be back.

Zanna in truth,was not okay. She had been drug off by some of the Guards,along with the boy she was trying to help.

Naida's face became painted in a smile, and she popped her arms up at her sides, making sounds like an airplane as she whirled after Drew and Cayden. Cayden shot a raised eyebrow at her, but shrugged it off. He'd get used to it.

Drew sighed at the girl as she went by, but Grey giggled at the sight. He sighed, and kept walking.

Naida withdrew her arms once more, putting her hands on her hips as she strolled through the woods. She looked curiously around, finding animals of all kinds -- bluejays, cardinals, hawks, chickadees, mice, lizards, butterflies, geckos, squirrels -- even animals she had never before seen.

"Wow." she whispered, eyes wide like a child's.


Cayden looked around, fascinated himself in his surroundings, "Whoah."

Grey looked back and forth. Drew grunted a few times as she leaned back a little too far.

Zanna glared viciously up at the people,not opening her mouth."We expected more from a Guardian. More of a fight or a challenge."They hissed at her. In truth,they were idiots,the ones that had captured her,were complete idiots. They thought she was a Guardian of an Element. She wished she could grip her necklace,it was a necklace with all of the elements on it,though she didnt have the powers of any. She had it as a remainder to stay true to the earth and protect it despite all costs. They had her wrists bound to a large wooden pole behind her,using small,thin leather strips that cut into her wrists. Though for her stomach,they used a larger leather tie to keep her bound up. Her feet were in metal shakels,and a peice of cloth was tied around her head and in her mouth to make her be quiet and not call for her friends to help.

Drew finally made Grey walk. His wings were cramping, and she was choking him way too often.

Zanna felt her black wings being secured behind her with strips of barbed wire,so when she moved them,or tried to flex them,the barbs cut into her wings,causing waves of pain to wash over her. Like a sea,never ending.

Meca continued walking.

Naida skipped, smiling at everything, and even the trees of the forest. She looked over at Meca, grinning, "Isn't this one of the most beautiful things you've ever seen?

Meca looked over at her,a slightly blank look on his face. He felt as if some part of him was in danger,but he couldnt tell of what. He nodded,"Hmm? Oh yes... Its nice." He couldnt place his finger on what was wrong,just that something was wrong.

Naida's eyebrows furrowed, looking at him curiously, "What's wrong, Meca?"

Meca shrugged,"I dont know. Just something feels...... Wrong..."

Naida stared at him, curiously, tilting her head to the side, "Well, we're in a whole other world. Of course, it feels a little . . . wrong. We don't know anything about this place or it's people. But, hey, at least we have eachother."

At this statement, she smiled warmly at him.

Meca smiled back at her,but there was still a worried feeling coursing through his bones,running up through his limbs and out to his wings.

Naida felt somewhat worried as well, and rubbed the back of her neck. Though, she would not let him see her nervous, either, "Hey, listen to me. Everything will be fine, okay? Now, come here."

She hopped up and wrapped her arms around his neck, smiling into his chest.

(OOC: It's no lie. A thirty-second hug releases stress. xD)

Drew didn't pay any attention to them, but he was sure that Grey was. He was wondering on how soon until he would...no, he wasn't going to think about that part yet. Yet, he knew that he was her legal guardian...he would...no. He put it out of his mind as Grey rushed passed.

ooc: We should all know about Drew is thinking about...

Meca put his arms around her,and wrested his cheek on the top of her head.

(OOC: i don't get it . . .)

Naida giggled, snuggling into his embrace, "See, now, don't you feel better?"

ooc: Really, Kristy...or are you messing with me?

Drew looked around the woods, keeping one eye on Grey at all times, and the other looking for a dry riverbed, or little nook that was out of the direct part of sight in the woods.

(OOC: no, i'm being dead serious.)

Cayden rubbed at the back of his neck as he walked through, thinking about the day's events. It was quite odd, actually. All of them were different. Drew and Meca were hotheads, Grey and Naida were so happy, Arbor and Zanna were quiet . . . and then, there was him. Just Cayden. He sighed, eyes following a falcon as it soared through the sky, west.

((ooc: Drew was thinking of when Grey was older. He likes her. God Kristy,you can be dense to these things of pedoness.XD But I still love you.))

Arbor felt out for anything that could settle for them. He felt a little dry river bed in a corner of the woods. He pointed out to the east and nodded that way,"Go that way."He spoke quietly.

ooc: You're half right, Snow. He was thinking about that one thing that guardians/parents and teens dread the most. That's what I was talking about

Drew looked up as Arbor spoke. He spoked the river bed, and turned off in that direction. Grey trotted along beside him.

Zanna felt eyes upon her,she had been locked up for a while it seemed,total darkness around her. Her mind told her to get free,but her body screamed that she couldnt. It was torture,pure and mind maddening torture. Not even physical pain,though when she moved it sent waves of pain pounding through her. She shivered slightly,the pain rose up,but it was so cold,and she couldnt help herself. She closed her eyes,and slept for a few moments of peace. She awoke to a sliver of light,then a torch and voices. The door was opened and a boy was brought in,beaten and being carried in by two guys. The boy she had tried to help. He was thrown up against the wall,his arms and legs shakeled,then his mid-section,all with chains. The Guards glanced at Zanna,and she stared them down. They spat at her feet,and left. She watched the boy until he awoke,which was sometime later.

Adrian had been beaten and then dragged to the dungeon,usually,this place was your grave. He was overtaken by a wave of pity and sadness when he saw the girl that had tried to help him,in front of him. He met her eyes,but didnt speak,just sat there,looking at her with saddened eyes that read all that was needed to be said. She might be turned into a Servant or Guard,just because of her wings and commandingness. Or because the idiots thought she was an Elemental Guardian. There was stories told round the fire at night. Of the Guardians returning once more and freeing Zahra from their doom.

Arbor and Meca followed.
