Marie said, "It's not odd she'd be depressed today...after all...it's been eleven years to the day..."

Marie said, "Well...today, eleven years ago, Anili and Ghost became the last of that family."

Marie nodded, "That only reason Anili got out of the fire was because it died off so quickly due to the snow."

Andy looked down at his feet, ranch hand, that brought back a lot of memories.

Bill dished out the chili and handed a bowl to everyone, "Dig in!"

Marie said, "Come on. Let's go."

Andy shook his head, pulled out of his thoughts, "I have to go check the sick horses again."

Marie said, "Alright." She headed for the lounge.

Andy walked out into the snow, it was still like a blizzard out there. He ran into the back barn and walked over to Handy's stall. The colt was laying down, still feeling low. Andy walked in and knelt next to his head.

Bill said, "Now all we need is for Anili and Andy and Marie ot show up."

Marie walked into the lounge, glad it was warmer than the rest of the barn.

Bill handed her a bowl of chili.

Andy stroked the little bay's neck, he was a little nervous with the snow and wind. "You don't like snow do you?" Handy snorted.

Marie gladly took it, and said, "Where's Anili?"

Anili slipped a lead onto Ghost. She rubbed the horse, and slid onto the blanket over his back. She let the horse make a break for it, and the horse sprung forward. He knew where he was going, and Anili held on to him. She lowered her head, the snow stinging her face. They were going home.

Marie shook her head, "No...Andy said he saw her by Ghost's stall." She looked worried.

The snow began to freeze Anili, and she dug her face into Ghost's mane. She fell asleep on the horse, not letting go.

Bill said, "She's probably with Ghost then."

Andy thought he heard muffled hoof beats.

Marie said, "I...I'm gonna make sure." She headed for Ghost's stall.

Anili woke with a thud as she landed hard on her side. She looked up, Ghost's warm body up against her. She leaned up against the stallion as she looked at the burnt ruins of her old home. They were miles away.

Andy walked back down the isle and saw Marie. She looked worried, "What's up?"
