The Last Stand (PG-13)

Rimmon nodded."Not mine..."

Nileve spied a foot trail leading away from the road. She saw a poorly built shack at the end of it. She looked at Okie,"Be right back." Before he could say a word, she was down the path.

"Okay then......"Rimmon stared after Nileve."Whats that about?"She asked Okie quietly.

Okie rolled his eyes,"She's at it again." He turned, and chased after her.

"Hang on Bambi!"Then Masi raced after Okie and Nileve."Whats going on?"She called to Okie.

Okie replied,"Honestly, I don't know."

Bambi's eyebrow raised as she watched the three race off. She looked down at the horse, twiddling her thumbs.

Before Okie could catch up, Nileve was at the door. If she was right... Okie got up when Nileve started to knock on the door. He raced up and pinned her against the wall,"What on Earth are you thinking?!" Nileve kicked him in the gut, and pushed him off when he curled up,"I know what I'm doing. You don't have to babysit me all the time, Okie." She turned around when she heard the door slide open. She was right. Nileve said,"Ikica. Good to see you again." Okie looked up, and cursed under his breath.

Bambi's gaze fell from Rimmon, to Nileve, to Okie. She felt like she was missing out on something. Bambi ignored it.
"What's going on?" she whispered to Rimmon.

"I dont know......Nileve,please explain."She spoke aloud.

Nileve smiled, and replied,"This is Ikica. She's Juno's older sister." Ikica nodded her head,"Nice to see you again."

"Juno's.....Older sister?Oh.....Okay,hello."She hesitated,now worried that Okie would be with Ikcia,because she was related to Juno.But she was friendly never the less.

Nileve smiled,"Ikica is finally going to settle your love problems, Okie. Okie blushed, and covered Nileve's mouth with his hand. He whidpered, his face red,"Why would you say that?" Nileve bit him on the hand, and he pulled his hand back in pain.

Rimmon's heart hurt suddenly,but it wasn't physical pain,it was emotional.She was hoping that the words were just meant to say that Okie would be free to love again.But usually nothing worked out for her,her eyes started to blur,slightly,she swallowed sadness."Ill be right back."Then she turned and walked away.She got in control of herself soon enough.

Bambi saw Rimmon walk away, and noticed a glint in her eye. A glint of sadness. Bambi hopped off of the horse and ran toward her friend.
"Rimmon, are you okay?" she asked cautiously, resting a hand on her friend's shoulder.

"Yes.But I think that Okie and Ikcia will,and maybe are meant to be together.She would be special to him if she is Juno's sister."She sighed.

Bambi frowned, her eyes shining with sympathy.
"Rimmon, don't think like that. I mean, come on, why would he go for her sister? I'd think it would be to awkward to bare. If you ask me, you two have a much larger chance at getting together." she encouraged with a small nod.

Rimmon couldn't shake that feeling though.Her world had always been upside down,but just when it seemed to be tipping back up,it turned over again.

Bambi squeezed Rimmon's shoulder, smiling softly.
"You don't have to be so insecure, or think everything in your life is wrong. Not everything is. You've got us. Give it time, he'll come around."

Rimmon nodded,but still was sad..

Bambi hugged her friend, and patted her back gently.
"Why don't we go back, huh?"

"Sure."She walked back,no traces of sadness on her face,"Sorry had to check on Masi."

Bambi nodded.
"Yeah." she lied smoothly.

Rimmon smiled,it was fake yet hardly noticeable.

Nileve knew it was more than that, but she wasn't going to bring it up. She looked at Ikica,"Then we need to comfirm something. Is Juno really dead, Ikica?" Ikica winced as if the question pained her. She lowered her head,"I wish it weren't true, but yes. I talk to her celestial being when I'm asleep. She says she's dead. She knows it. I know it. I'm sorry, Okie. I know how much you loved her. I did too. Being my sister, and all." Nileve thought to herself,"But anyone who has a celestial being isn't dead...unless they left one behind. Juno didn't have that kind of maigcal power though....does she think she's dead..." She whispered out loud,"But she can't be..." Ikica looked at her,"I know, it's too hard to believe. I knew you were friends too." Nileve shoke her head,"You said celestial being, right?" Ikica nodded,"Yes." Nileve nodded,"Intresting..."
