ALTER EGOS (PG-13)

Akira hissed, her tounge peaking out. Di said, "She doesn't care for machines since her case."

X went over and picked up the knife, "Here." He handed it to Akira.

Akira picked the knife with her tail, and handed it to Di. The girl started to fiddle with it.

"Well I'm leaving." X walked off. General T grabbed the file he had left and gripped it tight in his hand, "Like I said before, this is classifed business and you all best be leaving."

Fox chuckled again, "We know. We're the ones behind it all." She and Di flashed their Cover Up badges, and turned to leave. Cover Up was the highest ranking, top secret program in the whole goverment. Even the White House barely knew what they were up to.

Ganeral T laughed, "Those are some nice badges, but I think Russia has cooler ones."

Di laughed, "Yes, he knows so little about us." Fox smiled, "That's good." Akira pushed a root on a tree, and the trio disappeared into it.

General T turned whistle and walked around the machine. A few seconds later X reappeared. "You should be more careful where you connect the wires," General T wasn't angery, just annoyed. X nodded solemly, "I know, I hadn't calcualated the brightness of the flash. We need to do it underground, where the wind won't destroy it." T nodded, "That group, Cover Up, you know anything about it?" X shook his head, "Nope. I've been in a mental jail remeber." T smiled, "Pack it so we can get it out of here." X nodded and began packing up the machine.

Di landed on the ground in the spare base. Fox said, "This place is much better than tent." Di was hard at work on the knife. Akira leaned up the wall under a light.

X finished packing up the machine and with General T's help, carried it away.

Fox said, "But next time, Di, be cafeful on opening the doors. Anyone can follow us in if we let them." Di held up the knife, and replied, "With what's in here, we won't have to worry about that."

X looked over at T, "You still have that bunker under your cafe?" General T nodded, "We'll take it there, no one should ever see it."

Finally, Di sealed the knife away, and put in the lock down codes for the base. She headed to the exit with Fox, "See you soon, Akira." The reptilian girl just nodded.

In the cafe General T removed a panel from the ceiling, revaling a control panel. He punched a few buttons and a hole in teh flor appeared. "Just drop it in, we can deal with it tomorrow." X did as he was told and said goodnight to teh general.

Di and Fox reached their tent. Di got to work on dinner.

General T closed up the cafe and left.

El walked around looking for a hotel or something. She finally found one.

Di stood in front of thier grill, working on hot dogs for them. This was their casual.

X stared at the blueprints on his desk, making sure he hadn't missed anything.

Fox came out, trying to hide her two guns. It wasn't easy, because she hated the jacket she had.

General T walked down the street until he got to a little brick house. He stepped inside, "X?"

Di chuckled at her friend. Fox glared at her commander.

From somwhere in the house X replied, "In here." General T walked through the house and found X scribbling on a blueprint.

Fox sighed, and leaned back against a tree nearby.

General T looked over X's shoulder and saw an unfinished equation, "You haven't finished the equation! And you had the audacity to try the machine out?" X shook his head, "This equation isn't important, because we have a nuclear generator."

Fox asked, "You figure out your gadget, yet?" Di shoke her head. Fox sighed, "We'll be here for a while."
