CAPTURE THE FLAG (PG-13)

After seeing that Shadow had come out, and was yet to be fired at, she debated whether or not to grab the bag. After a few momments, she slowly wormed a way to another pack, taking out the supplies.

Lucy and Jason followed their example. When the supplies had been transphered to their back packs, Jason turned to the group. "Nightfall is in three hours, until then we aren't safe in the open. Since our position is in the middle of a desert war zone, I suggest that we keep moving."

Bambi nodded her head.
"Lead the way, Duckie." she said, crossing her arms.

Jason rolled his eyes, sometimes . . . .
Shadow waited until everyone had started moving and then hid the supply canisters. He jogged to catch up to the group.
Lucy looked around. She was already nervous, and what Jason had said didn't help.

Bambi looked over at Lucy, noticing her nervousness.
"Hey, you okay?" she whispered, moving a stand of hair away from her eyes as she spoke.

Lucy nodded, "Fine." Shadow made a sign for them to keep quiet.

Bambi nodded her head to Shadow, her lips pressing together in a thin line.

Jason walked in the front, constantly on the look out for a place to seek shelter. Suddenly his radio started crackling and he hastily answered it.

Bambi raised a hand to her mouth and started biting down on her thumbnail. Something she often does when she was nervous. She hoped against hoep that this message would be a good one.

Jason turned to the group, "The flag is on the move. We'll have to cover a lot of ground tonight."

Bambi nodded her head.
"Then we'd better get started."

Jason looked at Lucy, "How fast can you go?" "I can go however fast you need me to." He looked at Bambi, "And you?"

She crossed her arms.
"Five minutes per mile." Bambi stated.

Jason nodded, "Then we'll jog." He set out at a steady jog. Shadow sprinted on ahead until he was out of sight, one of his strange habits.

Bambi licked her lips, obeying and setting into a jog. She looked at the barren desert landscape, wondering if it had once ever had a patch of green land.

Lucy followed, she was still unsure about the days that laid ahead, but for now she was calm. She squinted her eyes and in teh distance, thought she could see shadow running ahead.

Bambi could feel some of the heat catching up with her. She fanned herself a few times with her hand, but never allowed herself to stop. After all, she and the team had to cover alot of land.
Bambi could start to feel an ache in her chest and she wrapped in arm around it, trying not to breathe heavily. They had only been running for a few miles or so. She could handle it.

Suddenly Jason stopped. Lucy looked past him to see why, all she could see in the distance was Shadow. He was standing tall with his arm stretched above his head and his hand in a tight fist. It suddenly dawned on Lucy, Shadow had found enemy forces. Jason turned his head and looked at the two girls, "Weapons at the ready."

Bambi nodded her head, getting out her weapon from her backpack and holding it in her hands.
Aye, yie, captain. she thought, narrowing her eyes.

Lucy timidly held her weapon in the ready position. Her hand shook. Jason waited to move forward until shadow gave the signal. Shadow opened his fist so his hand was flat. Jason began creeping forward, much slower than before.

Bambi smiled encouragingly at Lucy before turning her attention to Shadow, slowly creeping behind Jason.

Shadow continued moving forward, accationally he would signal to stop. Other than that the little group continued moving. Finally Shadow stopped moving forward. Jason walked and stood next to him. Shadow's face was grim as he pointed down the hill. Beneath them was a squad of maybe twenty Russian soldiers. Lucy was afraid to breath, or make any noise that might alert the enemy to their position.

Bambi blinked down at the camp. They were outnumbered. Four to twenty.
She narrowed her eyes and bit down on her bottom lip.
This doesn't look to good... Bambi thought.

Shadow motioned to a path that led down the hill and into a spot of dense foilage. Jason noddedand walked over to Lucy and Bambi. In a whisper he laid down the plan, "We'll go that way, follow me." Lucy watched Shadow slip down teh oppistie side of the hill. A second later Jason started walking, very slowly in a hunched over position, down the hill.

Nodding wordlessly, Bambi mimiced Jason's position, walking slowly as possible and trying her best not to fidget. Her throat was dry. She hoped for the best, and tried not to trip. If she did, she would be in big trouble. [/i]Big.[i]
