The Last Stand (PG-13)

"Me,or Meca?I saw you staring at him."Rimmon grinned,and teased her.

Crossing her arms, she scoffed.
"Maybe him. But don't think I didn't catch that little...exchange." she shot back, snickering with a wink.

Now Rimmon blushed,"Erm...But I smiled because I let Masi here,run."She patted the horse's steaming neck.

Bambi rolled her eyes.
"Ah-huh." she retorted with a smirk, crossing her arms.
"It has nothing to do with who you and I are thinking of, is what you're saying?" she asked, stifling a chuckle.

Rimmon looked away,then looked back."And what you two were talking about has nothing to do with you-know-who?"

Bambi blushed and opened her mouth, then snapped it shut again. She sighed.
"Truce?" she asked in a defeated tone.

"Truce."Rimmon laughed,a melodious noise indeed.

Okie laughed, and grinned at Nileve. She grinned,"Flirt." Okie gave her a look, but asked Shadow Knight into a full gallop, and they took off, Shadow Knight at the head, but Azane very close to passing.

Bambi surpressed a cry of shock as the horse rode faster. She clutched Okie's shoulders, her eyes wide.
"This is why I don't have a horse!" she mummbled to herself.

Okie looked back at Bambi, and chuckled,"Don't worry, just fly."

"I don't think that's possible, right now." she mummbled, trying to calm herself.
"Just fly. Just fly. Just fly." she repeated to herself.

Okie laughed,"Let the wind carry you, and relax. I won't let you fall."

Bambi nodded.
"Thanks then," she muttered, closing her eyes and trying to even out her breaths.
"Ya' know, it amazes me how me being frantic amuses you." she said.

Okie smiled,"Well, I amuses me, that you should be frantic over something simple. The only way to make something fearful, is to put fear in it."

Bambi smirked.
"Okay then. look me in the eye and tell me that you don't find this at least a little bit frightening."

Meca asked his gray mare faster,and they sky rocketed forward,he hooted with laughter as the wind blew his hair in all directions.He grinned,loving the feel of the wind on his face,his mare reaching her neck out farther,she was a small Arabian mare.By the name of Sinichi.

Rimmon grinned,and urged Misareni back into his ground eating gallop,"Hey,how about a race you two?"Rimmon yelled to Okie and Bambi over the roar of the wind beating against her ears.

Bambi watched Meca absent-mindedly. She didn't know what it was, but there was something she liked about him. Bambi looked away with a blush, toward Rimmon. Her face went from sheepish to horrified by the mere thought of racing.
"A race?" she asked, her voice a bit squeaky.

"Yes a race.What,are you chicken,Bambi?"Rimmon grinned and teased her.Her stallion's long legs stretching out far,she had to slow him down a little to stay beside them.Suddenly he matched Okie's horse,Shadow Knight,pace perfectly.Same foot and everything.Strike out with left,then right,strike out with left,then right.A rhythm pounding out on the ground.

Bambi scoffed.
"Am not!" she retorted, sticking out her tongue in a childish manner.
"I just don't like going fast." she stated stubbornly.

"Lies.You are chicken.The first time I say you,you were running fast."Rimmon threw her head back and laughed,as her horse raced forwards,she threw her arms out,free eagle,and laughed into the wind.Then suddenly,she wanted to see just how fast Misareni could go.She quickly looked forward,she didn't crouch over his neck though,because that would hurt his back,she sat back,on her balance point,or butt bone.(XD)Pushed back on his withers,putting herself into a power position,and urged him on.Faster and faster they raced.She saw a rather large log in their path and grinned.They raced forward,then suddenly they flew.Literally,he jumped,pushing off perfectly,and landed on the other side,where she stopped him,and turned him on a dime.She glanced back,wondering where the others had gone.She laughed,"I think we went a little far,huh Misa?You enjoyed it,and so did I......We'll have to run again sometime....."

A smile tugged at the corner of Bambi's mouth when she watched Rimmon and Misa take off. Her smile grew into a smirk as they vanished from sight. She chuckled.
"Great. We lost them." she said, rolling her eyes.

Then,she backed Misa up,and together they vaulted over the fallen log.They raced back,she guided him with just her knees.Hands wrapped tightly into his mane.Then she decided on something.She threw her arms out,her amazing stallion enjoying it as much as her,she laughed as her hair was blown into her face.Misa zigzagging in and out of the trees,leaping logs,and suddenly they hit a clear spot.Misa really stretched out,his long legs eating up the ground quickly.They soon reached Okie and Bambi again,along with the "crew."She was almost crying,because she had been laughing so hard,and because of the wind.Misa's neck was steaming,and he was sweating,but he was ready to go another round."Now,how about that race?"Rimmon grinned.

Bambi rubbed the back of her neck.
"I'll do it if Okie wants to race." she said in defeat, crossing her arms and smiling.

"Great.Okie?"Rimmon grinned.

Okie laughed,"Maybe later. I don't want to forget where I am too much. Nileve would love to though, I'm sure." Nileve smiled, and Azane whinnied,"Sure."
