Wild Horse PG-13

Twilight headed back towards the other horses, and his animals. Soon he broke into a run, and found Azane standing nervously by Soie. Azane face lite up when she saw him.

Sundancer opened his eyes to see the wolf, twilight runing back to the group. He jumped up wind should be close behind.

Breeze jumped up, and Soie padded over to Twilight, and the two sat, and talked about things that she couldn't catch. They were talking too low.

Sundancer walked over to Breeze, "What are they talking about?"

Breeze shrugged,"Beats me."

Every now and then Sundancer could here a word like, coming or follow, but he couldn't figure it out so he walked back over to his tree and laid down.

Soie was asking Twilight about the humans movements. Twilight saw them running into the river. They had been attack, so their movement was waylaid. This gave them the chance to get to the birch forest.

Sundancers dreams were haunted by old memories of when he escaped. He wondered what had become of his mother. If she was still captured.

Soie whispered,"Do you think 'it' got it?" Twilight whispered,"I haven't been there since two falls ago, but I think 'it' is still there, but is now match for humans. I thought that 'it' was working for the humans, but they walked right into it, unknowingly, so maybe not. But that way is now clearly unsafe, because we don't know if it still works for humans or not." Soie let out a growl, and whispered back,"Curse our luck. Is there any way out?" Twilight thought, and replied,"Only through the birch woods. All other places will be guarded, or not friendly to animals, or humans."

Sundancer had overheard this little portion of the converstaion, "What is 'It'? Is that thing that attacked everyone earlier?"

Soie almost said,"Stay out of what you don't know enough about", but Twilight stood up, and looked Sundancer in the eyes,"'It''s name is not spoken of lightly. If you were attacked by 'it', but glad you got out alive. 'It' is a tirus, a shapeless shadow like creature, 'it' can take any form. Be glad you got away. I doubt the humans will get away, though, which is good for us."

Sundancer shivered, "Oh . . . ." He wished he hadn't asked.

Twilight laid back down beside Soie. The leopard laughed, but the wolf gave him a stern look,"It is no laughing matter, Soie. You of all animals should know that. All of us should." He looked away with a frown, as if some dark thought crept into his mind.

Spirit was running, and running. The shadow was only getting closer, and Soie and Twilight had joined it. She screamed, and felt the shadow come over her. She jumped from her sleep, and saw Soie and Twilight talking. It was only a dream.

Sundancer looked over startled at the fox, "What made you scream?" He looked around carefully to make sure there was nothing threatening.

Spirit blushed when she relized she had screamed in her sleep,"Nothing, just a dream." Breeze said,"Must have been a bad one."

Sundancer relaxed when he she said that it was a dream. He felt bad for Spirit because he had dreams like that before, where . . . .

Spirit sighed, Soie or Twilight must of said 'it' name. She looked at her leg where 'it' had scratched her. She, along with Twilight and Soie, had this scar from passing through 'it''s land. She didn't like to talk about what had happened to them because of that.

Sundancer sensed that Spirit wanted to drop the subject, so he asked about the white trees again. He couldn't get over the fact that they were white.

Spirit laughed,"The birches? They are tall, slender, and beautiful in the fall. But I think we are too early in the year for such a treat. Humans don't go near them though, all birches are safe."

Sundancer made a mental note of that for future use.

Wind cam upon them."Azane!!"He ran towards her.He grinned as he skidded to a stop.

Rainwater strained against the harness,the whip cracking against her back.She whinnied in pain and frustration,but kept pulling.

Storm whinnied towards his mother,but was rewarded with a whip across his back.He looked towards the famous Star Night,who looked lifeless and dull.

Scorn shook his head,this place didn't feel right.He saw something across the river.He tried to stop,but he was kicked in the ribs with spurs,and pushed on.

Sundancer looked up startled, but relized that it was Wind. He jumped up happy that Azane and Breeze would stop worrying.

"Sundancer,Azane,Breeze!!"Wind cried happily.

Azane raced up to Wind, and nuzzled him,"Thank goodness you're alright!" Breeze jumped up to her father.

ooc: I'm gonna make a few more horses, sooner or later, but I think it would be a cool conflict if Star Night escaped, and found the herd. Would you want to bring him back into the story, Snow?

Sundancer looked up but quickly went back to what he had been doing before. He felt slightly out of place and a sudden feeling of loneliness crept over him.
