Azane turned to her mate and smiled. But she paused, and blinked, looking into his eyes,"Did...did something happen are your way out? Something is in your eyes....you seem so giddy."

Wind grinned,"Actually,yes. Twilight was talking about opening up or something,and Wind and Mist actually started to come to me. I could actually call them,not full power. But I could still call them."

Azane shook her head,"As much as I would love to use magic again, my dear....the memories of what happened when we did are too fresh. It was magic that crushed Rio before he was captured, if he wasn't already dead. I think...I think I will not be able to use to for a while...You speak to Twilight if you wish."

Azane whinned, and smiled. She looked at the falling sun, and then yawned. Night was coming.

Wind shook out his mane of all the leaves and dirt that had collected on his white coat.

Azane shook her mane, the silver coming out like starlight, her black coat blending with the growing dark. She nuzzled her mate,"Do you think we'll ever find that place? The same place the old herd was looking for? Some peace valley or place where everyone is safe and happy?"

Azane smiled, and nodded. She looked up, the star lining the sky. She looked back, and forward,"I can see a bit of brush just ahead. We could sleep there tonight."

Simi stumbled to her feet.

Snow and Shadow trotted over to the herd leaders.

Kiola and Breeze whizzed past, towards Azane.

Soie, Twilight, and Spirit sat behind the herd leaders.

Storm trotted briskly to stand near Breeze.

Wind announced what Azane had said,looking every horse/animal in the eye. Trying to give them a sense of purpose,reassurement,and pride. "Azane had a wonderful idea. The brush ahead will make a superb sleeping area. Does anyone object?"

Twilight lifted his tail. Soie rolled his eyes, and purred,"While this is lovely for you, we must tend to our...different needs during the night. No worries, we will be back by dawn." The three stood, and raced back into the woods.

"Carnivores."Storm snorted,and rolled his eyes.

Wind nodded,but felt pity for the animal that they would have that night.
