The Elements (PG-13)

Skyelark smirked, putting a hand over her mouth to contain her small giggles, her amethyst eyes twinkling with humor, "Just make sure to sleep with your eyes open, Drew."

Drew didn't need to be told that more than once. He just nodded, and looked back up at Grey.

Meca gripped her arms,suddenly tired of the charade,and began to pry them from his body. His hands were hot, though no beads of sweat were on him. His skin was just very hot, thought not on fire yet.

Grey didn't budge. Her hands were locked, and by now, on Meca's neck.

That was it, his hands lit up. Just on the fingertips, but enough to make her let go. He wrapped his hands fully around her small wrists, and pried her off.


((OOC: If you can't tell, I'm getting slightly tired and bored of this. So remove Grey. >.> ))

Grey grinned, but held on for a little longer. Finally, Drew nipped her mouth with the wind, and she popped off. Drew also spirally the wind around Meca's hands.

As the little girl finally removed herself, the boy burst into flames, having to be careful not to set anything on fire. He had been holding the fire back for so long, that it was necessary to release it.

Grey hit the ground, her head bumping. Moments later, she jumped to her feet, and rushed to Drew's side, as if nothing as happen. The girl probably wouldn't remember the event in an hour.

Skyelark's serious face returned, "Now, if Meca will get back down here, we can continue to where the princess may be."

Drew said, "Just leave him. He'll follow when he's cooled off."

Meca slowly descended, the fire released now. He refused to look at any of them. His eyes straight forward.

Arbor waited patiently, trying to see what was going on exactly. His eyes had been getting worse since they had gotten here. He hoped that no one would notice.

Drew looked at Skyelark, and then to Grey. The girl had already made her way back onto his back.

Skyelark nodded her head, and continued off into the direction that Naida had headed. Moments later, she caught sight of the water guardian walking slowly, arms crossed over her chest, lips pressed in a thin line, and looking the same way she had when she stormed off. Skyelark stared at her for a moment, before passing her up, and letting Naida lag behind her as she continued North.


Cayden's eyes briefly flickered over to the water guardian, but he kept silent, not wanting to disturb her while she was in her reverie.

Drew followed quickly. He let the wind blow slightly. He liked the feel of it here more so than on Earth. He didn't know why.

Skyelark let her mind drift off as she led the group through the forest. She was just happy that the king had yet to have destroyed the woodlands, and all the people in it. Her blood boiled in her veins as this occured to her. For all she knew, he could be plotting all of their deaths at this very moment. She shook it off, staring into the seemingly neverending line of trees, but knowing that they were only a few hours away from their destination.

Drew watched the elf. He didn't know why, but he wasn't worried about her. He wondered if he'd developed that from his job before.

Meca continued walking, his eyes still slightly blazing. If someone ever tried a stunt like that on him again, he didnt care if he took himself down while killing them. He would never be treated that way again. His life had already been taking turns for the worse, he didn't need this as well.

Naida tryied to keep her eyes narrowed at Meca, but she couldn't really stay mad at anyone who was her friend. She walked forward a little bit, grabbed at his warm hand, ignoring the heat with a small, sad smile that said 'I'm still here'.

Meca tried to keep the heat out of his body, and soon, his steps were burned into the ground. Thankfully, he had boots that just transferred heat, not actually melting. He nodded down at her.

Drew rolled his eyes at Meca. He wished the kid would cool off a little.

Naida focused a soothing sensation to form in her hands, feeling somewhat cold, yet comforting, relaxing. She hoped this would help calm them down.


Skyelark turned her head over her shoulder to say, "The animals will soon come out for the day. Do not touch them, any of them, a good majority of them are dangerous or poisonious. Do not touch any plantation aside from the flowers and trees, no matter what. Some of the fungi and ferns can kill you, as well. Are we understood?"


Cayden gave a small nod.

Drew glanced at Grey. The little girl understood this well enough, but Drew still wasn't sure about her.

"If an animal of any kind approaches you, do not touch it unless I tell you that they are safe. If a creature comes near you, stiffen. Do not make any sudden movement, without my call. The animals here will tear you apart if you give them the chance. The only time I advise you to run or fly, is if you see an animal, at least twelve feet tall, weighing two tons, and with four horns poking out of it's skin; one standing on the head, one standing on the back, and two tusks. They are strong, and quick, but I sense that you may be able to get away alive." she instructed seriously, keeping her eyes ahead of herself at all times.

Drew nodded, glancing again at Grey. He knew she wasn't taking this in.

"And how do you know that all are aggressive? Give them a chance, all of them cant be that bad..." Meca spoke aloud, his voice not wavering, but calm. He spoke from experience, people usually thought of him as evil and bad, but he wasnt. Not if you got to know him, which a lot of people wouldnt even try. Thats why he found it so hard to be nice and calm.
