The Battle For Ever Long((PG-13))

L nimbly leapt away. Something about him was like a cat,teasing a dog.

Rage aimed one at the ceiling, and hole burst from it. Powder and dust fell, and Rage cracked her whips again, and rushed at him.

"Ohhh!! Skylight!!"He grinned,"Im over here! No wait,here!! No no! Over here!!"He was quick,quicker than most any.

Rage split her cuffs with her claymore. Her arms and legs trickled with blood, and she raised the four long chains. Each one was like a whip, and her claymore rested in the other, now trickling with blood.

L grinned,''Careful,dont run with scissors. Youll bleed out."He grinned slowly,he wasnt sure what was happening anymore. Memories were what was left. The Qwinron,always running. Always hiding. He was with them once,but had left. They had killed Areili,and now..... They had left his heart gaping,and crushed. These memories rushed upon him. And he growled,his eyes blazing. He would find them,and he would end them. Someday,he would. And then his mind turned to Di,he had to make sure she stayed okay,he had to get them out of here. It was his fault,maybe,or maybe Rage and him were both just insane.

Esseri glared at L, "Get out of here. Or you will be dancing with my daughter till the dawn comes from the south."

L looked at Esseri,"You knew it would happen Esseri,didnt you?"Then he nodded,and looked towards Rage,"Ill leave if she lets me pass."

Esseri replied, "I can't control my daughter. If you want to get past her, you've got to be sane." She said the last word with disgust.

''Sane? Impossible. No one is sane. Sane is merely an illusion to who you are underneath. Its a mask."He quoted himself from a long time ago.

Esseri used her eyes to motion at Di. She said, "There's one way past. Your choice."

L sheathed his blade,and looked at Rage. He thought quickly,then backed up,he stood near the opposite of the wall,and waved a red handkerchief he somehow had. His plan was,when she ran towards him,leapt over,run through the door,get in the plane,with Di.

Rage snickered, her frightful voice finally sounding, "I'm not a bull, silly one."

"I can hope....."L grinned.

Rage laughed, her chackling sending her back. She stared at the sky and laughed. Fury kicked him in the butt, "Move, before she wakes up!"

L was already at the door,yelling at Di to get a move on,they were leaving. Not sure if she was in the plane or not,he was just moving.

Di looked up, hearing the cackling. Esseri was watching from the broken window. Di stood up, and got into the plane.

L saluted halfway with two fingers,quickly to his forehead,then away.

Di laughed, "I warned you."

L nodded,"You did. Good thing Im trained,other wise Id be dead."

Di rolled her eyes, "Well, next time, you bring a knife. Surprisingly, that actually calms her down....for about an hour."

"Cutter???"L guessed with a small grin.

Di laughed, "No, she plays with a claymore. Something soothing would be a knife."

L rolled his eyes,"I meant-........never mind."

She rolled her eyes, "Did you enjoy chatting with Esseri?"

"Not really."L answered truthfully.
